Ventilation & Air Conditioning System

The primary goals of a heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) system are to maintain acceptable indoor air quality through proper ventilation and filtration, as well as to provide thermal comfort. In schools, HVAC systems are one of the biggest energy consumers. Many additional high-performance goals, such as water consumption (water-cooled air conditioning equipment) and acoustics, can be influenced by the HVAC system’s selection and design.
